HOME DEFENDER INSTALLATION INSTRUCTIONS

Tools needed:

Phillips Head screwdriver, power drill, tape measure.

Step number 1: Determine the location on the inside of the door where you plan to mount the unit. 17” from the top of the door, centered, is recommended. Place a piece of tape on this location or use the template provided.

Step number 2: Using the 3/8” drill bit (supplied), drill by holding the drill level at a 90-degree angle.

Step number 3: Once completed, open the Home Defender unit and secure with two mounting screws. Using the two larger mounting screws (provided), place the screws through the bottom two open circles and tighten to attach the unit to the door. Do not overtighten screws.

Step Number 4: Insert the end cap on the outside of the door.

Step number 5: To test the unit, place inert training spray into holder, insert tube through the top hole. Close the unit.

Step number 6: Secure the unit with the smallest screw. The unit is ready to test. Flip the unit top open and press the button to discharge the spray.

Step number 7: Once the inert spray test is complete, replace the inert cartridge with the pepper spray, being careful not to press the discharge button, close the unit and secure.
